Apligraf® is an unique, advanced biological skin repair therapy. Your doctor may not have experience with this living technology. Though a doctor can order Apligraf®, it may not be a product he or she is comfortable applying, as specialized training is necessary.

A Wound Care Center is often the best place to get treated for diabetic foot sores and venous leg sores, and to find Apligraf®.

A Wound Care Center is a clinic specializing in the treatment of non-healing sores. Wound Care Centers provide advanced wound healing techniques and state-of-the-art wound assessment, testing and treatment for people suffering from acute and chronic (hard to heal) wounds. Theses centers usually have teams of physicians and nurses who work together to provide expert wound healing as well as support  for patients, their families and caregivers through educational programs.

Alternatively, your doctor may know of another physician who will apply Apligraf®, whether in another clinic, hospital, or Wound Care Center.

This section of the website will help you find a doctor or nurse who is capable of applying Apligraf® to your non-healing sore, assuming Apligraf® is an appropriate therapy for your condition. Explore the three subsections to learn what questions to ask your doctor about Apligraf®, how to find a Wound Care Center, and how to download and view the current Apligraf® patient brochure for more helpful information.
